One of my eyeshadow palates, I like the reflection, and also how the glitter causes just a little bit of bokeh in it.

Playing with Photoshop a little. You can duplicate this effect by physically zooming in or out on a zoom lens, but it wouldn’t fit to get the shot in this case. Also I was bored sitting in the car waiting for the train.

Some fun with light painting tonight, needed to take a break from my term project. I was using a small LED flashlight, and our candles lighter- I like the contrast between the fire and the “water” of the blue. Official Day 51 photo is labeled- it’s more minimalist than I usually like, but I like this one.

Making up for my fun day off yesterday, so I’ve been working on my term project all day today. I feel like I’m back in undergrad. I call this “Programming”.

We went on a trip today with the Mass. Audubon Society to Duxbury Beach, in search of snowy owls. They are occasionally seen in this area, but this year they’ve been coming down to the US in much larger numbers, and they have seen 10 different owls at Duxbury. And we found one today! It was a little ays off the road, so we couldn’t get too close, but I got some shots. Also, a few people had scopes, so we were able to see them closer up, they’re absolutely beautiful birds! Here are some shots.

They look very calm, but he was keeping a good eye on us.

It's amazing how fast they can swivel their heads, I can see why people thought they could turn their heads all the way around.
