So I promised a review of my new Lowepro bag, after trying it out. Overall, I’ve very happy with it. It was comfortable, convenient, and fit everything I need (I prefer to just keep everything in one bag, and not transfer it) without being too bulky.
Here’s what I had in it:
Nikon D5000 with 70-300mm zoom lens attached
15-88mm lens
35mm lens
Sunpak flashgun + flash sync cord
Extra batteries for cameras, flash, phone
Multiple small accessories, like: Remote shutter release, battery chargers, extra batteries for cameras, flash, phone, Macro filters, neutral density filter
Phone + wallet
Galaxy Tab 10.1
Tripod
Quite a good amount of stuff. Some of the reviews seemed to say that a lens over 200mm wouldn’t fit in the camera slot, but my 300mm lens fit with no problem. The bag sling over your shoulder, and when you swing it around to your chest (without taking it off) it has a side pocket to insert of remove your camera.
It has a compartment at the top to stash accessories, it has a sling pocket in the back, and compression strap to slide things under.
It also has a small pocket on the front, where I stashed battery chargers and cords.
One of the features I really like is that it has a strap and puch on the side to attach a tripod. It’s a little awkward to get the tripod in and out, but it’s better than most of the alternatives, and once it’s in, it’s very secure.
Also, since it’s a “AW” or all-weather model, it has a neat little weather protector. It tucks into a flap in the back panel, and velcroes shut, but you can pull it out, and wrap it all the way around the bag.
Here’s a picture in action. I didn’t have the side strap buckled as you can see, but if you’re going to be walking for a while and don’t need to slide it around in front of you, it buckles across your chest to the strap, and makes it much more secure.

So, the summarize, I definitely give it 5 stars! It’s a little pricier than similar bags, but you know you’re getting good quality with this brand, and none of the other bags have all of these features, either.
