So it’s finally snowing. not really the “storm” everyone was talking about, but there’s snow falling, and it’s sticking to the ground. How novel! Sadly I had to work all day, and don’t have the car, so I can’t go out and take pictures, I’m confined to the general area (oh yeah, and my coat is in the car too, also not with me, whoops). So after work I took a few pictures of the falling sow outside the apartment building. People were starting to stare because I was using the flash though, so I didn’t do too many. Here are my favorites.

Project 365 Day 59
February 28th, 2012
admin More light painting! I actually used my fake “ice cube” that lights up different colors that I got in Disney. If you know me, you know I love things that light up.
Of course, Gizmo saw me doing stuff and had to get involved. First he stepped in one of my shots

then he curled up and went to sleep. So I light painted him.

Project 365 Day 58

admin These are dual-purpose, they’re also to enter on a weekly photo contest on my company’s social network site (yes, it’s big enough to have it’s own social network!) and the rule were they had to be of a person or pet, and a square crop. I chose the one of Gizmo grabbing the water drops as my official photo of the day.

DW Field Park (Project 365 Day 57)
February 26th, 2012
admin Well, I finished and presented my term project today, so I finally could go out and take some pictures without feeling guilty for not doing homework.
I found some birds I haven’t seen before (I’m a n00b to birding still!)- couldn’t get good pics since they were way out in the lake, but tentative ids are tufted ducks, red-breasted mergansers (male and female), and one lonely pied-billed grebe. Here’s a link to the Facebook album for the bird IDs.
And here are the rest of the photos. Day 57 photo is labeled, that’s the neutral density filter one.

Project 365 Day 56

admin I was cooped up all day working on my term project (which is done, just finishing the presentation part, yay!) so when I saw the sunset, I took it as an excuse to get out with my camera. We’re kind of at the bottom of a hill, so I drove through the town until I was high enough up to see the sunset. I think this used to be a Bradlees or a Caldor, but it’s been empty since we lived here. I guess I’m kind of working on a “Brockton in HDR” set.
